As events regarding the COVID-19 outbreak continue to develop, we’d like to provide our clients with some words of assurance. In recent years, HSM has invested both time and resources into planning for our response to various disasters. Outbreak was one of the contingencies that we had planned for and we do have a staged response plan. At this time, HSM offices in Victoria, Langford, and Duncan are closed to walk in traffic and for in-person ICBC renewals. With this in mind, and as per guidance from local health authorities, we ask for you to complete your business over the phone or by email. With regards to ICBC, please call one our offices in advance as we may be able to process the renewal for you over the phone and have documents ready for you to pick up with little person-to-person interaction.
Please rest assured that HSM will be available via phone and email. Our IT service provider has worked with us to allow licensed staff to work from home and continue use of the same resources – including all client files – that are available to them in-office.
To this, for much of what are our client’s every day insurance needs, it will be business as usual. We know that the coming weeks will be difficult for many businesses and it’s our promise that our client’s insurance dealings will not add to this.
